Welcome to Ausable Valley Coyotes U15 A. We are very excited
to get things rolling with our tryouts beginning in early May. This year will
be unique with the changes to boundaries and such, but it will be a great
opportunity to be part of history with the inaugural Coyotes season!
For those who I haven’t met or don’t know who I am I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself. I was born and raised in Halifax, NS and come from a large hockey family. Growing up in the Maritimes, I played high level, capped off with playing for Team Atlantic in the 1997 World Under 17 hockey challenges. I was drafted into the Quebec Maritime Hockey league, played Junior A in the Martimes and varsity hockey with Dalhousie University.
I’ve lived in Ilderton for the past 16 years with wife Laura and 3 children. I’ve been coaching in the Ilderton system for about 10 years in various capacities, both boys and girls’ hockey. I have a genuine love for the game and believe it creates a great framework for life in terms of working within a team, dealing with adversity and being put into situations that require quick thinking. I believe many of these are all skills that the player carries with them throughout their life and reflects in my coaching style.
