Assistant Coach
I want to take this time to introduce A.J to the Ausable Coyotes U14 bench.
Hi, my name is AJ Bloomfield. I grew up in Oakridge and began playing hockey at the age of 7. Over the next decade, I progressed through the MD and A level programs and was fortunate to finish my playing career with the same organization where it all began. I also competed at the high school level for four consecutive years—Grades 9 and 10 on the Junior Team, and Grades 11 and 12 on the Varsity Team—culminating in a TVDSB City Championship in the 2019–2020 season. It was during this time that my coaching journey began, as I was given the opportunity to evaluate, select, and coach the Junior Hockey Team in my final two years of high school. After moving away to pursue my post-secondary studies, I gained a year of experience on the bench alongside Coach Mike. Most recently, I served as part of the training staff for the U18B Ilderton Jets, where I had the chance to support and mentor players at a competitive level. With that said, I’m excited to return as a member of the coaching staff for the upcoming 2025–2026 season, and I look forward to meeting you all!
